A busy couple of weeks with usual forensic medical services provision in London with a couple of court cases and giving evidence at a death in custody related to prison.  Interviewed for documentary on extremes of survival by ITN/Discovery, related to the finding of a male who had supposedly survived for 2 months without food in sub-zero temperatures in Sweden. Due to be broadcast in 6 weeks time or so.  A good Stakeholder meeting by the Independent Advisory Panel for the Ministerial Council on Deaths in Custody, very much multiprofessional, collaborative working.   Acceptance of paper jointly undertaken with National Injuries Database team from the NPIA  and Nick Marsh, Consultant Forensic Practitioner in imaging for the Met Police on standards of images supplied in criminal cases.  Will be published in Forensic Science, Medicine and Pathology along with a letter about the dangers of assuming all rules and scales are accurate.
